Cubism Reflection
1) How did you determine what subject to use for this project? For this project i determined that i was going to use my friends goats and donkey because it was something that i thought a lot of people wouldn't be doing and would be easier to composite and have it look somewhat realistic all standing in the barn.
2) How many photographs did you take for this project?i took a lot of pictures for this project. around 40 id say for this one alone, i wanted to make sure i got pictures of all the goats and the donkey to get as many pictures in the project that i could.
3) What challenges did you encounter when doing this project?
it took a lot to get the goats to do what i wanted them to do and to pose for the pictures, but the longer i stayed out there and the more pictures i took it all came out in the end.
4) Given the opportunity to do this project over, what would you do differently the 2nd time around? If given the opportunity to take it again i would probably do something more landscape based so i could just move around one thing instead of chasing around goats to get pictures.

The importance of Art
"Tax dollars should not be wasted on art, music or theater classes in high school. Public high schools should be about training young people to enter the workforce. Period."
This is not an opinion that the public education system should follow. If young adults don't have the opportunities in their schools to work with fine arts, then many of them will never know what their true passions are. Some students won't even go into a tradition job field because of their passions. So why take away something that is going to prepare them to be successful in life in the line of work they choose to go into. The fine arts allows people to express their individuality, even if they don't go into a job using those skills they are still expressing themselves and learning things about themselves that they may have not learned if they hadn't taken that class. Providing these classes isn't hurting the school system or the young adults taking the classes, there is no point in taking them away. Ridding people of their jobs and stopping young adults from their right to learn the fine arts.

1st Semester Reflection
Part 1:
Quality of my Work- i think i have done an alright job with the quality of my work but there is definitely areas, especially within photoshop, that i need to work on. To try and find ways that will help me make my projects more realistic and make it less obvious that they were altered. Other than that i think the photos that i take are pretty good, i think i get the right angles needed for the projects and get the lighting to hit the subject in a good way to make it look the way that it was intended to. for every shooting project i did put an index print as well.
Effort- i know that i havent put the same amount of effort into all my projects but i try to have enough effort in all of them to do at least an alright job on them. the ones that i have more interest in what the outcome will be i tend to work harder on. but i try to work on all the projects with a good amount of effort. for the shooting projects given i had always came to the next class with the photos that i wanted to choose from either on my phone or on a sd card. i dont actually count the number of photos taken i just shoot until i think i have the photo that id like to use. i like shooting pictures that you have to infer what they are meaning to say.
Participation- throughout class i will work on my projects until i feel like i have done enough to them or there is nothing else for me to do, after that moment i either do things for other classes or i will play sudoku. i wont do those things unless all my projects are up to date, i am never late though.
Improvement- i think i have gotten better at photoshop, still not as good as id like to be but i do feel like i am getting the hang of using it. i wasnt at all good at it at the beginning of the year but i feel even just the one semester has helped me get used to it a lot.
Adjustments- if i could go back to change something that i did, i would probably tell myself to slow down on the projects at the beginning. i remember at the start of the year i was very worried that i was not going to have enough time to finish it with good details so i rushed some of my projects. i will try and spend more time on the photoshop projects and sit there and do whats needed to make them better.
Part 2:
id like a project with shadows and taking a picture of something just for its shadow either natural or flash. maybe making the shadow into something the object isnt, or someone walking along the beach at sunset and take a picture of the sand.
