Gottfried Helnwein Image Cont.

This change in viewpoint changes my interpretation because i can actually see what i happening in the photo and that it is not photoshopped together. It is a picture of a little girl with big blue eyes, she has pale skin and red curly hair. It is a very big, blown up image. There is a lot of details in this image, it was taken at a very high resolution with a lot of light in the room. I think the artist is trying to force a message onto whoever sees it and thats why he made it so large. The image was probably printed on canvas or something strong but not too heavy that the nails/staples they used to hang it would get ripped out by the weight or a gust of wind. It is not one continuous picture, it is sliced into sections. The location looks industrial, it looks like it was put on the side of a factory or some sort of big building. I think the people on big ships will see it since it is on the edge of the water. The intended audience would be anyone affecting the outcome of the future. The mood of this image seems to be worry or concern because of the look she has on her face. The girl has an expressionless face and she looks like she is placing blame on anyone she is looking at. I think the title is suggesting that if we don't stop going in the direction we are going in, then this little girl will be "The Last Girl" because we are killing this planet.

Work by Gottfried Helnwein

This is a photo of a rock climber, climbing up the center of a woman's face. The woman has a blank stare as the climber scales her face. I think that the climber is is a metaphor for someone trying to figure out what is going on in her mind, they are working so hard to get to the top (or her deepest emotions that she is hiding behind her expressionless face). This is an artistic image that has been altered in photoshop. I think the artists intent was to show how hard people are willing to work and how far they will go for what they want to know or for the people they care about. The difference in scale shows how big people's problems can be and how far people would have to go into their past or into their minds to actually help them.

Three Doors Project

I used the wig from this photo
and the eyes from this one
to make myself into a clown.
